Blagovesta Maneva-Sleyman, PhD, Founding President of Knowledge in Power Consulting, is passionate about ethical and visionary leadership, and committed to support client organizations rediscovering their purpose, transforming their knowledge, and giving it both new strategic meaning and power. She is solicited by Canadian and international organizations to contribute her expertise in research and management, participate in reviews and seminars, prepare reports and deliver workshops to senior executives. In so doing, she has travelled to five continents to share her insights and the key policy implications of her work and to discover cutting-edge work and ideas that will shape the future. Blagovesta’s ideas and expertise in organizational and knowledge development empower individuals and organizations to lead with strategy and grow with opportunities. Through systems thinking, futures perspectives, design thinking, tailored frameworks, and cultures insights, she helps clients connect to their knowledge, close their knowledge gaps, and amplify their influence in their respective communities and in society at large.
Before founding Knowledge in Power Consulting, Blagovesta led successful careers in the Canadian public service and the academic world. As an executive in the Canadian federal public service, she led, in addition to many research and policy projects, avant-garde initiatives such as the major policy research project Foundation for Blueprint 2020, a visionary initiative for the future of the Canadian Public Service, as well as the development of the People Management Drivers for a High-Performing Public Service, a key element of management performance assessment and planning in the Canadian public service.
Blagovesta Maneva-Sleyman received her PhD from the University of Montreal, Canada. She completed post-doctoral studies in France and at McGill University (Canada) and was a recipient of the Postdoctoral Excellence Grant by the Francophone University Association, the global network of French-speaking higher education and research institutions.
